Copo Café & Diner

Café

Information

Copo Cafe & Diner in Drummoyne, has something for everyone. Finding a place that is accessible, has easy parking, no queues, Wi-Fi, is kid-friendly and kind to our gluten-free friends can be a tall order, but Copo made the list, and definitely checked it twice.

Try the unique South-American inspired bistro food in a bright and airy spot over 2 floors, with chunky wooden tables, huge mural, indoor plants and a terrace. The best place in Sydney’s Inner West to enjoy a healthy freshly prepared meal with a Campos coffee or a South American inspired drink.

The kitchen smokes its own chicken and trout, preserves its own pickles, makes mascarpone from scratch and plucks herbs from a rooftop garden. The menu leans to Latino (South American-style baked beans with chorizo), perhaps a little Morocco (cumin-flavoured baked eggplant and eggs served in a pan topped with fresh dill) and classic comfort food (bubble and squeak, porridge with rhubarb and homemade toasted muesli). The great service and a bright fit-out are bonuses.

This two-storey café is listed as Victoria Road, Drummoyne but it’s actually hidden around the back on the Formosa Street side where the entrance runs right off a handy little council parking lot. When the weather is fine make a beeline for the stairs and head up into the open covered terrace. If accessibility (as so often is the case with prams) is a priority then lower floor is flat as a tack.

You can also visit Copo Cafe for dinner and sample from the delicious Tapas style menu – perfect for little fingers and the most difficult to please tastes.

Have visited this place many times with my little girl – they have amazing coffee and very friendly service! They’re welcoming towards little kids and are flexible with menu and drink options to cater to the needs of little ones. The ramp in from the street makes it easily accessible and there’s plenty of parking all around as well. They have a beautiful terrace seating area upstairs, but it’s not easy to access with a pram. The food can be a little pricey for café style food, but when you’ve got such lovely service, great menu options for kids and… Read more »

I’ve been here twice with my little one and while the place is usually pretty busy and full (which really intimidates me when i’m eating out with my wild little boy), i found the staff really welcoming and accommodating to parents with babies/toddlers. Plus food is really great!

Copo is absolutely a family friendly place to go. I’ve never tried to use their facilities to change a baby or feed as they are just around the corner from home but they welcome kids with open arms.

They are also open on public holidays when other cafes often close…and we know parents always need their coffee 🙂

Awesome cafe to hit up for brunch. Ground floor is super easy to access with a ramp from the street. Food and coffee is brilliant. Customer service is perfect. I would go back in a heart beat just for the smiles and great service!

A super tasty and welcoming cafe. Ground floor is easy access with a pram but large set of stairs to get to the first floor. Staff are happy to help carry a pram up but something to consider.

My favourite local café. Food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant with kids. They all know my son’s name and treat him like royalty. A great place for a mummy and daddy early dinner date night if you still have to bring the baby. Also great for a mothers group session.
