Bridgewater Park, Rozelle looks across the water to Birkenhead Point and is on the site of the Old Balmain Power Station. It has two BBQs, covered seating area, fenced children’s playground with shade cover, and joins Balmain and the Bay Run.
This park is probably best for the 1-5 year old crowd.
You can get to the park either by continuing past the Iron Cove Bridge on the Bay Run or by going down Margaret street to the giant sign at the end of the roundabout that says Balmain Shores Apartments. Behind the sign is a ramp or stairs that lead down to the park.
There aren’t any restrooms near the park, the closest are back under the bridge near the oval.
Parking can be a bit difficult at times. Try Margaret street first and then walk down the stairs (or ramp if you have a pram).
Grab a pizza from one of the great local pizza joints and then take it down to sit at the picnic tables for a pizza picnic in the park. Even the family dog can join in the fun!
