Burwood Park is a large historical park bounded by Park Road, Park Avenue, Burwood Road and Comer Street and home to insta-famous “The Picnic” Cafe.
The large park has a lot to offer parents with a fenced and shaded playground, duck pond, picnic facilities, chess board and rotunda.
This medium sized playground is best suited to kids ages 2-8yrs. It is fenced, shaded and within sight of the cafe.
There is plenty paid street parking available on Park Ave and Burwood Road or there is also parking close by at the Westfield Burwood where you can park for free for 2 hours.
Or ditch the car and go for a ride on the train as the Burwood train Station is only a 5 minute walk away.
Public toilets are close by but they can be a bit hit or miss. Best bet to is to change on the grass in the park or head over to the baby change rooms at Westfield across the road.
Grab a takeaway coffee from the window at The Picnic and head across over to the play equipment in the park. The fully enclosed playground is about 25m from the cafe.
