Our Top 6 Locations

Each month Out & About Baby adds over 40 different family friendly locations, that includes cafes, hotels, shopping centres and parks. From your classic family-friendly restaurants and somewhere to grab a coffee to more sophisticated luxury accomodation experiences, these are just some of the best family-friendly locations that have been reviewed in the last month.

Livvi’s Place Wagga

Livvi’s Place Wagga in Bolton Park is part of an Australia wide initiative of the Touched by Olivia Foundation.  Initially designed in consultation with leading academics, play, disability, and landscape experts and the local community, Livvi’s Place parks aim to dramatically reduce the barriers experienced by children with special needs and their families, helping to give them a level playing field for life.

Mulga The Artist joined forces with students from Wagga High to create an amazing unicorn inspired mural that reflected the local community. The students participated in workshops, created artwork and even assisted Mulga on site.

Royal Randwick, Sydney

Coming up to our second location, Royal Randwick Shopping Centre is located in the heart of Randwick, and ticks all the items off your long to do list: Woolies, Harris Farm, Fitness First, Best & Less, Rebel Sport and 60 more speciality shops and services. It’s also a great spot for kids clothes, with Cotton On Kids, KidStuff and more.

But the reason is makes the cut on our list is because the Royal Randwick shopping centre is home to a new free community corner for kids. This free space hosted by Platinum Randwick Pre School allows your kid to play, learn and socialise.

Four Points by Sheraton, Sydney

Four Points by Sheraton is up next on our list. This recently opened hotel provides a top-of-the-line experience when it comes to accommodation. Located in Sydney, Central Park, this simple, yet eloquent structure is perfect for a uncomplicated and elegant night’s stay.

Their simple, yet modern interior design headlines many of their rooms. They’re bright, welcoming and are fitted with signature bedding. Their best room options for families are the Studio Suite that boasts large sitting areas and fold-out couches. Alternatively there is also a connecting room option when you book the Executive One Bedroom Suite that features a seperate lounge area and bedroom room for the kids.

Dining options are great with its white and welcoming interior creating an extremely cosy atmosphere. So whether you’re staying for one night or many, Four Points by Sheraton is a fantastic convenient and family friendly option.

Rabbit Hole Kids Play Centre, Melbourne

Moving away from shopping centres and accommodation, Rabbit Hole slides in to our list too (pardon the pun). This huge indoor playground facility boasts state of the art interiors and an adventure-themed playground, perfect if your little ones love to explore.  Officially the biggest play centre in Victoria it also features insta-worthy ball pits, climbing nets and tunnels to encourage creative play.

Three Blue Ducks, Brisbane

It’s now time to cover a cafe in our top 7 list of August.  After making the slow crawl up to Brisbane, starting in Bronte then up to Byron Bay, Three Blue Ducks is slowing taking over the Eastern Seaboard, bringing its signature laid-back menu to the frantic Brisbane CBD experience. Located inside the brand new W Hotel, it serves up your daily caffeine fix with fresh, local and honest food that’s bold in flavour and colour and definitely worth the stop!

Corbett & Claude, Sydney

Originally hailing from Brisbane, Corbett & Claude has quickly grown in popularity and begun expanding across the country, with new locations popping up everywhere. It’s most recent property at Rhodes Waterside is the first of the Queenslanders to hit Sydney, brining it’s signature warm hospitality with it. Most go for the much hyped pizzas, but we go for the grilled haloumi with peach and pan-fried gnocchi.
